No run support for A.J. ~ Monday, June 13, 2011

~~ Indians 1, Yankees 0 ~~

So A.J. gets his stuff together, pitches 7.2 innings giving up one run and what does he get from the rest of the team? Nothing, not a single run. So Dave Robertson comes in to close the game out but still I wonder how A.J. feels about that. I mean he says, “I just feel it wasn’t meant to be. That’s how it goes. Sometimes the other guy throws a little bit better than you do.” But I wonder if he just feels a little bit frustrated.

Derek Jeter is also probably feeling a little bit frustrated, having to go on the D.L. when he is so close to 3,000 hits. He has a strained calf muscle.

Well on to Texas!
