Saturday, July 31, 2010 ~ Robinson Cano, is that a hole in wall?

~~Yankees 5, Rays 4~~

Mark Teixeira and Alex Rodriguez were in the dugout looking bored. I’m not saying they were bored, just looked it. I wonder what was going through their heads as they considered the score (4-4) in the ninth inning, watching Robinson Cano with that sweet swing of his. Were they thinking of how tired they were and extra innings? Then they jumped up, Mark holding his arms up over his head, Alex tears out of the dugout and the ball Robinson just hit bounces in the seats off the back wall. Then Mo comes in for the bottom of the ninth. Ball game over, Yankees win.

It was a very close game, Mark tied it in the top of the 6th with a home run, then the Rays scored a run in the bottom, then Nick Swisher tied it in the 7th, then Robbie hit the game winning run in the 9th. Neither pitcher was very happy with their performance, you could tell from the interviews. Javier was upset he gave up 4 runs. Good thing for him the other pitcher gave up 5.
